sobamaker watched with eager eyes 熱心な目で (takaosan)Posted by timothy sullivan (Tokyo, Japan) on 24 September 2009 in People & Portrait. (Taken whilst in line at the Sakae-jaya soba house.) In my time as an amateur photographer, I have learned one key thing: Kids have some of the most honest facial expressions. If you are able to catch a scene that you find interesting--even a simple action like making soba--seeing how others react can be a great element in eliciting a similar reaction in the viewer. In the process of aging, many adults, sadly, seem to lose much of the keen observation skills innate to humans; fortunately, kids seldom miss the minute details. - - - - -
