narita-san temple 成田山 (narita)Posted by timothy sullivan (Tokyo, Japan) on 15 June 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture. When you take the N'EX into Tokyo from Narita Airport, have a look out the left side of the train (about 5-10 mins after departing) and you should be able to see the top of this pagoda sprouting from the hillside; for me it was always one of the ways affirming, "Wow, I'm in Japan." Although the temple structure at Narita-san is not as large perhaps as Asakusa's Sensoji, the grounds and garden are without a doubt far more picturesque. - - - - -
