sakura petals 桜 (Chidorigafuchi, tokyo)

Posted by timothy sullivan (Tokyo, Japan) on 29 April 2009 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Naked cherry trees bud and sakura blooms; blossoms from around which leaves quickly sprout and fill their branches, replacing white with green. And within this two-week early April course, sakura season ends far too quickly; with the crescendo of warm spring winds, cherry petals sprinkle down like snow, blanketing the sidewalks and parks with a layer of light-scented silk, as the green leaves rustle quietly, above.
