At the penis festival 金まら祭り (kawasaki, japan)

The Kanamara Festival ("affectionately" known as the "Iron Penis Festival" by the foreign crowd) is one of Japan's most unique festivals, held annually on the first Sunday in April near Kawasaki-daishi Station (川崎大師駅) on the Keikyu line.

This festival seriously attracts the gaijin tourist crowd--tourists and residents alike, with something in the order of one-third of the spectators being non-Japanese.

While this phallus festival isn't the only one in Japan (see below), it's certainly one of the most popular.

Other phallus (and related) festivals:
- Hounen Matsuri (豊年祭り) at Tagata Jinja (田県神社) in Nagoya (near Komaki)
- Himenomiya Honen Matsuri (豊年祭)(Fertility Festival) at Ogata Shrine (大型神社) in Inuyama
- Hadaka festival (裸祭り) (the "naked festival") at Konomiya Shrine (国府宮神社) near Nagoya
- Hadaka festival at Shinzan Shrine (新山神社) in Iwate Pref.
- Ariuji Shrine (荒井神社) Naked Festival (有氏裸祭り) in Saitama
