the cat shrine 今戸神社 (asakusa, japan)Posted by timothy sullivan (Tokyo, Japan) on 22 February 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture. I'd taken a photo of this shrine last year, but had wanted to revisit the grounds to get a little more detail of the surrounding area. This place, Imado-jinjya (今戸神社), is relatively well-known as a place where individuals and couples can receive good luck in their love lives; personally, I just think it's pretty cute, with the giant cat statues sitting out front.
