jizo statues and moss 地蔵と苔 (nikko)

legend holds that these moss-covered statues change places from time to time, and visitors will never see them in quite the same order. i wanted to see whether this was true.
i took a rather similar image of these jizo statues about a year ago; revisiting their serene abode (the "Kanmangafuchi Abyss") overlooking the banks of the lively Daiya River.
when i saw the statues this time, i realized how little they had changed; as i gazed upon them for a few contemplative moments i considered how amazing their peace truly was.
