Cosmo Clock Yokohama コスモクロック横浜 (yokohama, japan)

Posted by timothy sullivan (Tokyo, Japan) on 7 November 2008 in Architecture.

located right in the heart of yokohama's Minato Mirai (MM21), "cosmo clock" had been the largest ferris wheel in the world when it was completed in 1989. each second a light panel on its outermost rim "ticks" on-- and every fifteen minutes or so, a starburst pattern flashes across the face of the "clock".

(it's kind of cool to see the dissipation of time in this 30-second exposure, hey?)

Very beautiful long exposure with the reflection in the water, I love it!

Fun shot! Love the reflection!
I actually posted a photo of this same ferris wheel on my regular blog recently. (If you're interested, it's here).
