quiet buddha 静かな仏 (kamakura, japan)

the daibutsu (great buddha) of kamakura has to be one of the most frequently photographed structures and places in japan--for good reason: it's one of the most serene. recently i have been considering how to make an old treasure look a little differently by photographing it from different angles, using contrast filters, etc.
