chipmunk and rock シマリスと石 (averill park, ny)

i saw this little guy just sitting on a lichen-covered rock outside my parents' home; as i set up my tripod reallllly slowly and gently, i tried whispering to him, "please don't move just yet-- i'm not gonna hurt ya..."
and, would you believe it? he sat this still for a whole 2 seconds. guess even animals want their fame...
