monochrome wheat モノクロ麦 (MA, USA)Posted by timothy sullivan (Tokyo, Japan) on 12 July 2008 in Plant & Nature. as a kind of "living museum", hancock shaker village (route 20 in pittsfield, MA) quite well preserves part of the way of life of the Shakers. using materials (wool, etc.) gathered from the livestock and farm-grown ingredients produced here, the museum staff and volunteers make a variety of different things close to the same methods as those used nearly a century before. for some reason, the texture of this wheat really inspired my eyes... - - -
