ferns (gifu, japan)

if you're ever in Tokai and want to get around on the weekend (or national holidays), I thoroughly suggest getting the "aozora free pass" (青空フリーパス). it's an amazing discount ticket covering an amazing range around the greater Nagoya area-- for \2500, you can go as far west as Maebara (roughly halfway to Kyoto) or zip far east to Toyohashi; or as far south as Ise (great for a day trip!), and as far north as Gero (to enjoy some onsen). simply a marvelous bargain.

i went to Gifu this past weekend and took a few shots from different places around the countryside--i thought it might be a nice place to trek, relax, and try to get the hang of my d300 (which, incidentally, is a mighty fine camera!).
