angkor wat アンコールワット (cambodia)

The ancient grounds of Angkor Wat are truly incomparable to anything I have so far experienced; walking between and among giant carvings such as these touched me in a way I cannot describe--the age of these artifacts, the expressions upon their faces, the thoughts running through my mind as to who these people were and realizing that, over a millennium later, their works continue to amaze and awe people--everything in sum served to humble me. Insignificant and small were how I felt in the footsteps of those who had made this ornate temple; I felt guilty, even, to take a photo--that my photographic ability would fail to preserve the dignity and grace of these carvings. And yet I wanted nothing more than to share the experience with everyone known and unknown to me.
