Words are truly inadequate to describe the emotional experience of seeing Cambodia's Angkor Wat temple; the magnificent splendor alone makes one simultaneously awed and at peace--and curious, perhaps, as to what the other UNESCO World Heritage Sites are like. My travel here was memorable for a host of other experiences, including: first sunrise (with mouth open, amazed); first monsoon; first fire ant swarm up my leg; and first bout with heat exhaustion.
